3rd International Conference of NESON (INCONESON III) & 2nd Interim Meeting of AASNS

Message from the Organizing Committee

On behalf of Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons (NESON), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 3rd International Conference of Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons (INCONESON III) & 2nd Interim Meeting of Asian Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons (AASNS) on 26th, 27th and 28th November 2021 in Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons (NESON) was born in 2008 with the aim to bring all the neurosurgeons of Nepal under one platform and share knowledge, problems, experiences and expertise growing, together to deliver a state of art neurosurgery to Nepalese people living in every corner of Nepal. Over the last 12 years, neurosurgery in Nepal has likewise grown in quantity and quality in par with the development of neurosurgery throughout the world in most of the area of neurosurgery. However, the world is no longer limited to a country by the political borders. The world has become a smaller place due to communication means and more developed transportation means but foremost due to the feelings of ownness and oneness of the whole world by leaders in neurosurgery, who are very eager to help and share knowledge, skill and expertise with less privileged and developed countries, not limited or confined by political boundaries, principles and relations. However, there will also definitely be many unique problems and solutions born out from the difficulties and hardship faced, to be learnt by the developed and privileged countries from the so called less developed ones like Nepal. In this stage of globalization where one has to think beyond our confinement and coming together, is the ultimate means and ways of growth and development for everybody and everywhere. The theme of this conference, “Taking neurosurgery beyond borders” is centered on this principal of “many in body and one in mind” and we hope this conference will together highlight the issue of need of globalization of neurosurgery, its problems and solutions, breaking the hurdles of finance, distance, culture and political differences. We hope to gather internationally renowned neurosurgeons from all over the world, mainly from the Asian Australasian region, including all senior leaders, prominent teachers, young neurosurgeons and residence of neurosurgery and mutually learn from each other and share their work with a goal to improve the neurosurgical service towards excellence. This gathering will provide the opportunity to share one’s problems and initiate discussion to solve them collectively. We hope the younger neurosurgeons will have a life time opportunity to listen and interact with this par excellent teachers and enhance their skill and knowledge.

The organizing committee is working very hard to make this meeting a very useful and enjoyable gathering for sharing and improving one’s knowledge. The meeting will allow plenty of opportunity to interact with each other. We will be making this meeting a “paper-less meeting” keeping in mind the present problems of the world.

Kathmandu city provides ample opportunity to enjoy your time as well as is the gateway to the paradise of all the unthinkable adventures Nepal has to offer you.

We welcome you to this conference in November 2021 and enjoy the great hospitality of Nepalese people.
