Welcome to the official website of Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons (NESON)!
Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons was established in 2009 to look after the welfare of the Neurosurgeons of this nation. Since its perception, the Society has focused to unite the neurosurgeons of this country under one umbrella for academic development by organizing various academic programs, seminars, conferences and workshops. It has opened up the new avenues for all Nepalese neurosurgeons to prove their skills and achievement in national and international arena. Through its own journal, The Nepal Journal of Neuroscience, the Society encourages its members to publish and share their work, gain promotions in their institutions, publish researches and create an academic environment.
NESON continues to encourage young neurosurgeons to help broaden their horizon in terms of training, development of sub-specialization and help them to integrate into our society. Through different activities, NESON trains and encourages young neurosurgeons to take leadership in matters of national and international interests. As it social responsibility, the society organizes and encourages its members to take part in different social activities and medical camps, giving neurosurgical services to the deprived people of Nepal, as well as spread knowledge about neurosurgical problems in the Nepalese society. NESON supports its parent society, Medical Association of Nepal and maintains close relation with Nepal Medical Council. Our society is a member of many international neurosurgical societies like World Federation of Neurosurgeons (WFNS), Asian Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons (AASNS) and many others, opening up the opportunities to Nepalese Neurosurgeons to advance in international area.
With a joint effort of all the members of Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons, we hope this society advances further and continues as the guardian of all the neurosurgeons of Nepal. Together, we take all responsibility of neurosurgery related health problems of Nepalese society and try bringing health and happiness in the lives of our people.
I welcome all new NESON members to our society.
I look forward to working with you over next two years.
