Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) Bursary in the name of Late Prof UP Devkota

Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) has formed a Bursary in the name of Late Prof. UP Devkota for young neuroscientist involved in neurosurgery and allied fields, to be able to go to United Kingdom and visit a concerned medical center for 6 weeks. The fund covers the travel and stay. No Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test is required as this is going to be a six-week’s observatory course. The program would be in March or September when the SBNS society has its conference and the candidate is required to present a paper in the conference.

Essential Criteria

  • Should be a Nepalese citizen
  • Should be working in Nepal at the time of application
  • Should return to parent institution and work for a minimum of two years after the award has ended
  • Should be a final year resident or a consultant of less than five years duration

Desirable Criteria

  • Should have presented at least once in a national or international conference
  • Should have at least 1 publication in national or international journal
  • Should have IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7 in average within 2 years of application

An application is invited by all the eligible candidates by Friday, 31st January by 10 pm by sending a request for the interview in the email info@neson.org. The eligible candidates are required to bring a printed copy of your CV on the day of interview on 4th Feb 2019 at 8: 30 AM in UDM-NINAS, Bansbari, Kathmandu.
